Square Enix has announced that Kingdom Hearts 3 missing critical mode will be available April 23.
The harder difficulty will be free for players to download but the tweet did not offer a specific time when it will release.
Series director Tetsuya Nomura stated that Kingdom Hearts 3‘s critical mode will be different from previous games versions but did not explain how.
Critical mode is the hardest difficulty that the Kingdom Hearts series offers, typically reducing Sora’s HP or how much damage he deals enemies.
Earlier this year Nomura stated in an interview with Japanese publication Dangeki Online that he is working on both free and paid DLC, with hopes of finishing it by the end of 2019.
