Viz Media has announced via Twitter than the company will be publishing the Persona 5 manga in the U.S.
The tweet above shows off the cover of the manga, with the protagonist Ren Amamiya as his master thief alter-ego Joker. It also features Arsene, the manifestation of Joker’s will and rebelous spirit.
No other details were given but the plot will likely follow that of the game and anime. From Atlus:
Persona 5 is a game about the internal and external conflicts of a group of troubled high school students – the protagonist and a collection of compatriots he meets in the game’s story – who live dual lives as Phantom Thieves. They have the typically ordinary day-to-day of a Tokyo high schooler – attending class, after school activities and part-time jobs. But they also undertake fantastical adventures by using otherworldly powers to enter the hearts of people.
The Persona 5 manga is scheduled for release in winter, 2020.
